THE TEAM
Ray Wood, MBA
Managing Director
Ray is a prolific inventor of things mechanical with a number of international patents in motor vehicle engineering and control systems for yachts and fishing vessels.
He is an aspiring novelist but is best known for his humorous advertisements for questionable parts on eBay.
From humble beginnings with one Series II in South Africa, Ray has been known to own four Land Rovers simultaneously on three continents.
A shareholder in ROVERDRIVE Gear Corporation, he spends as little time in the office as possible and claims that the foreign travels in his 1986 110 Land Rover are done entirely for test purposes because ‘someone has to do it’.
Robyn Wenner, CHRP
Customer Service
Robyn is a Certified Human Resources Professional with experience in several leading Canadian and International organizations.
Known as an Adventuress, she once drove a canvas top IIA 88, with no heater, through a six-month Canadian winter.
Robyn is a shareholder in ROVERDRIVE Gear Corporation; a self-appointed ‘whip-cracker’ with responsibility for customer service, marketing, administration and keeping tabs on Ray Wood (whom she often takes sailing in her 37 foot sloop).
Philip Goodall, B.ACC ACIS
Accountant
Somebody has to keep the books straight! Philip comes to ROVERDRIVE from Zimbabwe where he has his 1971 IIA 109 on blocks while waiting for the revolution.
We advertised for a creative accountant who understood ‘F’ head engines and Philip was the only applicant.
Philip has driven Land Rovers all over Central and South Africa and is looking for an adventurous woman, good at tax returns, to take on his next safari (send PDF of tax returns).

Steven Mi, B.A.
Production Supervisor
Steven has a Science degree from XI’AN JiaoTong University and recently completed the BC Institute of Technology Machinist Program.
As a young boy Steven loved to disassembled then reassembled intricate clockwork mechanisms, just for fun.
Steven can turn his hand to anything in the Machine Shop or under a Land Rover. At Roverdrive Gear he is most appreciated for his attention to detail as he ensures that every ROVERDRIVE we ship is of the best possible quality.
As we expect him to arrive at work every day, he drives a six cylinder Volkswagen!
Anthony Creighton
Engineering Technologist
Anthony served his apprenticeship at Hardy Spicer in Birmingham (remember them ..... they made universal joints) .
When he isn't studying for his Masters Degree in Public Policy, Anthony can be found messing around in our machine shop.
He found our suggestion that he should be driving a Land Rover amusing and he may know something that we don't.
Buddy Bird
Environmental Control Officer
Like Philip and Ray, Buddy hails from Africa and has been with the company since incorporation.
Buddy was hired by Robyn in compliance with Employment Equity Legislation Article 19.8 C) iii (fair demographic minority representation requirement).
His responsibilities include recycling cardboard boxes into biodegradable carton stuffing.
Mr. Bird's efforts to recruit fellow-workers into Teamsters Union Local 119 have failed. His tail feathers were subsequently clipped.
Buddy's talents suggest that his future career path may be customer service in the complaints department. He is fluent in English, Makonde and Swahili and appears to be engaged in a vendetta against the factory janitor.
